Blame it on DISCO!
No worse than crunk and its ilk.

you know,.....everyone knows rod for his more campy stuff,...
but if you look at early rod,...back when jeff beck was still playin with him,.....the man is genius,.....

maggie may,...
every picture tells a story,....

and as rain dog brought up,......reason to believe,....

you know i think alot of my generation doesnt really listen to things because of some preconcieved notion they have,...but if you forget its rod stewart,....and close youre eyes,.....you'll hear the amazing musicanship and voice that is there

Listen to his work on the Jeff Beck solo album Beck-Ola. Rod Stewart was one mean vocalist in his day and the album is one of rocks undiscovered gems.

'If you think I'm Sexy'?, That is total crap I agree. But 'Every Picture Tells a Story' Is an amazing album. The stripped-down production is part of it's magic.
Rod's 'Unplugged and seated' wasn't actually too bad. Shame he's turned into a lounge singer.

Remember the 'All things Scottish' skit on SNL w/ Mike Myers?
"Rod Stewart, gravel-throated Scotsman...."
