I did mention Dusty many posts ago. I think her Dusty in Memphis album is one of the best of all time....

Completely forgot about her until I was working on another post, but Brit and former Mick Jagger lover, Marianne Faithful is one soulful lady:

More recent:
YouTube - Marianne Faithfull - "Working Class Hero" (live)

Early:
Marianne Faithfull - As Tears Go By - Video Picture Mp3 | VidPic3.de

Beautiful duet with West African singer, Ismael Lo:
YouTube - Without Blame * Ismael Lo and Marianne Faithful

Duet with Bowie--rendition of Sonny and Cher's "I Got You Babe"--not her best work, but funny and rare!:
YouTube - David Bowie and Marianne Faithful I Got You Babe

[Oh yeah, that reminds me, Bowie is one of my favorite female artists, too (tee hee)...]

I probably shouldn't say anything because I don't know that many female vocalists, but I always love Kim Gordon's voice, because it's so... Out there, I guess. Like, on the song Tunic.

Hello Board

As my first post here, I would like to add Joan Armatrading to this list.

How did I miss your post?

Great choice. Incredible singer and probably the classiest song vid in the thread.
