I had an answer typed and ready to post until I noticed this is in the 'pop' category.
I won't over think this and I'll reveal my age as well, Karen Carpenter. When I was young, her soothing voice was on my parents' kitchen radio before school. Later, she was one of my guilty pleasure artists or as I like to say, 'Windows Up Artist".
