Meh.

If Lady Gaga looked/dressed like Sarah Plain and Tall then nobody would care. Her music made me feel nothing.
I have a question since you didn't like what you heard and such.
It would be nice to hear from someone who isn't gaga about Gaga.
My best friend and I were talking about it, and do you feel like it would be more pleasing to listen to if she had more connection with what she sang?
Listening to her albums, I feel as if she has no emotion, as if she's just singing for the sake of singing and the music means nothing to her.

I know, and I'm sure you won't disagree, that her music is good.
But do you think maybe she should have more emotion when she sings?

She's good.
I love what she stands for.
And I also know how she actually feels about her music.
But I just think she SOUNDS as if she couldn't give any less of a **** if she tried.
My friend and I also observed that in "Telephone," Beyonce sounds a lot better because she's actually putting emotion into the music.

Yes.... yes absolutely.

I was listening to her lyrics and I was listening to her voice and it stirred nothing in me. I mean her voice is alright, her lyrics are alright, her performance was big and showy and bright, but I got nothing from it. I mean even some bands can make me cringe with pain and I would pick them over Lady Gaga because at least I felt something from it. With her it was just..... meh.

That actually makes more sense.
I lurked you and saw that you didn't really listen to pop music. I assumed that you only liked more acoustic-y tunes. I respect you not liking Gaga because you don't respond to her emotionally way more.

You ever considered the fact that it's possible for a person's preferred genres to result from their own preferences and not some established standard?

I assumed that Flower Child only liked acousticy things.
I acknowledge that my assumption made an ass out of u and me, or whatever.

A common criticism of her music is that it's soulless, robotic, mechanic...I agree with this. It works a little better in her second album, but it's tiring on the first imo.

The local talk radio uses Lady GaGa as bumper music, I thought Rah Rah GaGaGa, Po Po Po poker face, and Paw Paw Paparazzi were all from the same song, I was shocked to learn it was three different songs...what's next Re-Re-Redundancy.

They do sound similar, but not all her songs sound the same, at all.

Arguing that any artists songs "just all sound the same" just smack of lack of thought and / or ignorance these days. I'm so sick of hearing that as a justification for not liking a band. It totally proves that the person making that argument hasn't done any in depth listening at all...

I agree. I love how they compare only the songs they've heard as well.
