Eventually after years of that, she gave in, and utilized the help of a studio producer by the name of Rob Fusari. They cowrote a brilliant new 'character' for her to play.
I'd like the source that explains where she gave in her dignity. Not one that explains how she started working with some guy. One that isn't just an opinion, something that actually states that, factually, Lady Gaga is a sellout with actual proof, and not just an obvious bias.

As said above, why is it so obvious that it's a commercial choice?

Lady Gaga posted the lyrics to the title track from her upcoming album, Born This Way. I can't wait to hear it!

http://www.twitlonger.com/show/8e8bt7

"INTRO:
It doesn't matter if you love him, or capital H-I-M
Just put your paws up
'cause you were Born This Way, Baby

VERSE:
MY MAMA TOLD ME WHEN I WAS YOUNG
WE ARE ALL BORN SUPERSTARS

SHE ROLLED MY HAIR AND PUT MY LIPSTICK ON
IN THE GLASS OF HER BOUDOIR

"THERE'S NOTHIN WRONG WITH LOVIN WHO YOU ARE"
SHE SAID, "'CAUSE HE MADE YOU PERFECT, BABE"

"SO HOLD YOUR HEAD UP GIRL AND YOU'LL GO FAR,
LISTEN TO ME WHEN I SAY"

CHORUS:
I'M BEAUTIFUL IN MY WAY
'CAUSE GOD MAKES NO MISTAKES
I'M ON THE RIGHT TRACK BABY
I WAS BORN THIS WAY

DON'T HIDE YOURSELF IN REGRET
JUST LOVE YOURSELF AND YOU'RE SET
I'M ON THE RIGHT TRACK BABY
I WAS BORN THIS WAY

POST-CHORUS:
OOO THERE AIN'T NO OTHER WAY
BABY I WAS BORN THIS WAY
BABY I WAS BORN THIS WAY
OOO THERE AIN'T NO OTHER WAY
BABY I WAS BORN-
I'M ON THE RIGHT TRACK BABY
I WAS BORN THIS WAY

DON'T BE A DRAG -JUST BE A QUEEN
DON'T BE A DRAG -JUST BE A QUEEN
DON'T BE A DRAG -JUST BE A QUEEN
DON'T BE!

VERSE:
GIVE YOURSELF PRUDENCE
AND LOVE YOUR FRIENDS
SUBWAY KID, REJOICE YOUR TRUTH

IN THE RELIGION OF THE INSECURE
I MUST BE MYSELF, RESPECT MY YOUTH

A DIFFERENT LOVER IS NOT A SIN
BELIEVE CAPITAL H-I-M (HEY HEY HEY)
I LOVE MY LIFE I LOVE THIS RECORD AND
MI AMORE VOLE FE YAH (LOVE NEEDS FAITH)

REPEAT CHORUS + POST-CHORUS

BRIDGE:

DON'T BE A DRAG, JUST BE A QUEEN
WHETHER YOU'RE BROKE OR EVERGREEN
YOU'RE BLACK, WHITE, BEIGE, CHOLA DESCENT
YOU'RE LEBANESE, YOU'RE ORIENT
WHETHER LIFE'S DISABILITIES
LEFT YOU OUTCAST, BULLIED, OR TEASED
REJOICE AND LOVE YOURSELF TODAY
'CAUSE BABY YOU WERE BORN THIS WAY

NO MATTER GAY, STRAIGHT, OR BI,
LESBIAN, TRANSGENDERED LIFE
I'M ON THE RIGHT TRACK BABY
I WAS BORN TO SURVIVE
NO MATTER BLACK, WHITE OR BEIGE
CHOLA OR ORIENT MADE
I'M ON THE RIGHT TRACK BABY
I WAS BORN TO BE BRAVE

REPEAT CHORUS

OUTRO/REFRAIN:

I WAS BORN THIS WAY HEY!
I WAS BORN THIS WAY HEY!
I'M ON THE RIGHT TRACK BABY
I WAS BORN THIS WAY HEY!

I WAS BORN THIS WAY HEY!
I WAS BORN THIS WAY HEY!
I'M ON THE RIGHT TRACK BABY
I WAS BORN THIS WAY HEY!"

It's also clear that she utilized the services of a studio producer to completely write her sound/character(Fusari is accredited for co-writing a very VERY large portion of 'The Fame'). Her music is no more evolved or sophisticated than any other pop star, as well.

I don't understand how people like Avril Lagrine, Ke$ha, Nickelback, etc. can be so standard of the cool people to make fun of, where Lady Gaga is treated as something somehow more legit. She is no better or worse than any of them.

The only difference is that Lady Gaga has a padded portfolio of:

A) A prestigious school she didn't even have the fortitude to stick with, and graduate from. Yeah, she really is a hard working artist.

B) Piano skills that she implements infinitely inferiorly to musicians who get no credit, or attention.

There is a sickening obsession with Lady Gaga in this society, one of which plagues a very large group of very cultist worshipers. It's completely naive to not say the way she attained her status was through means that are not mentally, physically, psychologically, morally, or ethically healthy. Therefore, it's safe to say, there's a massive danger of her having a massively negative influence on youth.

I am not a douchebag for being troubled with this, neither for expressing my concerns. Even if it weren't about that, Considering the sheer ridiculously unjustified amount of popularity Gaga has procured in comparison to the quality of her output, of course people are going to be frustrated. Maybe that comes out as sarcasm, I don't know, However, I don't understand why people aren't more for an artist who promotes inferior music matched with powerful imagery, and good marketing. Then gets away somehow outselling everybody. It's really no different than hating on say, 50 cent, really.

Ahh I hadn't seen that link. I like her catchy pop tunes, who are you to say that it's inferior music?

Please stop being "sickened" by Lady Gaga. That's a bit silly. At the end of the day she's just a pop star, and has no more influence than any other pop star ever did. We have these kinds of people in our society, that's just the way we work. People like simple, catchy things. She does them well. You can't expect a mass of humans to change their taste to something more artistically credible, no matter how frustrating it seems.

That's why we have cheesy Hollywood films.
It's why we have romance novels and Dan Brown books.
It's why we have those ****ty paintings in mall shops and hotel rooms.

All of which can be enjoyed or ignored with little effort.
