I asked about teh 70's. What makes this sound like the 70's?

'Now That's What I Call Music' is this, I was suggesting Lady whatsherface is a passing fad with no intrinsic value and poor even in the context of pop music (which I love obviously), or worse, a one-hit wonder.

And I can't tell if you're being sarcastic or not but that's a picture of David Bowie's 1973 album 'Aladdin Sane'; if you watch the video you'll see her look incorporates a near-identical thunderbolt down the right side of her face. Very f*cking cool indeed.

Well that wouldn't make sense, but i would personally prefer a singer who had some charm. You say she's tongue in cheek, to me she's just another chancer.

Hehe if Britney Spears is a chancer then she got very very lucky!

I kind of see her in the same light as Katy Perry. Both of them have an 'edge' as their selling point but the music underneath is decidedly average. I don't see either of them lasting long (i said that about Pink though so i do get it wrong).
