that has nothing to do with Lady Gaga though. People are more interested in her because she has massive exposure as opposed to some quirky unknown band that may be far more talented but isn't as widely known.

You know why it's easy to jump into the Lounge and start posting there? for the same reason.

More broad topics that doesn't require someone to know a band/artist that is super obscure and even if they don't know it, they may listen but that doesn't mean they will like it.

Bjork is not super obscure. She's also infinitely more creative, and talented than Lady Gaga. Lady Gaga is a cheap imitation of these 'underground acts. Monopolising the illusion of originality which we have to hear the mainstream media praise her 24/7 without any exposure to the the truth of how unambitious she really is.

What's so wrong about exposing people to sources of originality that a ridiculously overhyped mainstream star sapped everything from? Perhaps it's out of respect for serious artists that people might enjoy if they are actually exposed themselves to them.

And yes, we should be trying to keep the albums club alive more than arguing about things we've been for months. Gaga inspires no new conversation because she rarely throws out anything truly uniquely new.

Still, this is only proof further that until we move this to the editor's picks section, this thread will continue to be flooded with useless replies.

Terence Hill, as recently confirmed during an interview to an Italian TV talk-show, was offered the role but rejected it because he considered it "too violent". Dustin Hoffman and John Travolta declined the role for the same reason. When Al Pacino was considered for the role of John Rambo, he turned it down when his request that Rambo be more of a madman was rejected.

In the almost three years I've been a forum member, this is one of the most elitist posts I've ever read. I understand trying to eliminate off-topic discussion, but you're basically proposing that a post stating an opinion that has already been stated should not be approved, and that only 'fresh perspectives' should be allowed to be posted. This idea is, as I stated above, elitist because you have only proposed it to be implemented for this particular thread, simply because you dislike Lady GaGa. There are posts like these in virtually every artist's respective thread. Do you propose all posts in the music forum should require moderator approval? Are you just tired of this thread showing up in your Subscribed Threads? The Simple solution to that: Unsubscribe. As I said in an earlier post: We get it. You hate GaGa. You've made your point about why you do many times. What I don't get is why you seem to have a personal vendetta against her, and have to try and convince people who do appreciate her music that she is horrible. You're not going to change my opinion, so feel free to leave well enough alone.

That's a very brash, and direct assumption. However, it's obvious this thread is a target for spambots and non-participating noobs. It gets bumped continually by both.

I don't understand how moderating the thread to avoid 1 time posters to say something completely random then disappear into the night would do anything. Besides, wouldn't you think the moderating team would filter out my complaints after awhile?

Keep the thread going, by all means. But there's no point in continually bumping it for no purpose like it seems to be every other day. In fact, I could easily argue that moderating the thread would make it cleaner, and troll-less, wouldn't it?

Shut the fuck up, I've had enough of your shit. I never said you couldn't make money off music, but it's not meant to sell. The thing with those who want to make solely for the purpose of making music and not caring about making money can either be miserable and sad or the happiest people in the world. Since when have you met a musician who didn't try to make music for the money? You have no knowledge whatsoever on the happenings outside the pop culture world. Think before you say something completely ignorant and stupid again.

i simply posted that in response to your post where you said Lady Gaga is just a copy cat. you can't always go in a thread and try to negatively post a message as many as you can because you hate the artist. if you do, expect that someone's going to react oppositely as well. I'm not trying to convince anyone to like Lady Gaga but I do highly appreciate her music and her contribution to the modern music industry.

I don't hate Lady Gaga, I said she emulates Bjork you halfwit. You totally ignored my post about musicians in it for the music not the money, and how you say it's nothing but a fantasy.
