People will still remember her in 20 years, but no one will care. She'll be playing clubs and theaters instead of arenas and stadiums. Heck, her Artrave tour already has smaller venues than her last tour.
Her problem is that she now believes her own hype. Back when she started out she came of as basically an eccentric party girl. Then everyone started calling her some kind of avant garde...thing, and she's latched onto that and has run it into the ground. She's not avant garde, she's a pop artist. Someone needs to tell her that.

I just checked tickets for one of her shows and they range from about 46 bucks to 1,000 depending on the seats.

I would pay $100 to see her. I absolutely love her shows, I've seen her at both balls, it's an amazing show. Honestly, I think she's lost her mojo a bit. It's like she has had so much inspiration in her outfits and videos but after tearing her hip and recovering for 6 months she lost herself. Her album is okay but she over hypes it. I think she will definitely have a come back but I hope this is a learning experience for her.

I honestly think Artpop is better than The Fame. TF has some great tracks (3-6) but after that it's a bit meh. Artpop is enjoyable all the way through pretty much.

I haven't listened to her 2nd album yet, gonna buy it now.

Side note: Since when did Amazon stop doing free delivery on items under £10? I'm angry .

I wouldn't go so far to say I prefer Artpop over The Fame but I enjoy them in different ways and I understand the intent behind Artpop and see it more than her just "trying too hard" like people bash her for.

I'm the same with both of those albums, but I feel like Artpop would have been more enjoyable if she hadn't hyped it up so much. It's still good, but my expectations were let down a lot after first listening to it.

The same thing happened with Born This Way. She kept calling it the greatest album of the century (even though it was only 2011), and it was a severe disappointment. I've grown to like it, but that initial hype killed the fun for me.

For her next album, if she quits the pretentious attitude, more people might appreciate it for what it is instead of expecting the "greatest album of the decade/century/millennium."

Going to see her tonight in Istanbul! Did anyone make it to artRAVE the Art Pop Ball tour? Am I going to be MB's diplomatic representative? Happily

Tickets were $150 by the way, stadium seating, I will be quite far from the stage. Happy to pay it to be part of the cultural phenomenon. Not sure what to expect and feel like I might be the oldest person in the crowd but hey, whatever.

I'll probably write a review for my blog and cross post it here if ya want.
