Okay let me answer it for you then..
She went on a faddy reality show (First rookie mistake)
She has an annoying nasally voice that makes her sound like an idiot
She trusted Simon Cowell (Who quite frankly is a D-Bag)
Aaaand lastly.. She releases soppy pop songs that make me want to kill myself

This all stirs nicely to create one steaming bowl of Idiot.

Catch my drift?

I don't like leona lewis in the slightest. I remember when I was 16 I worked as a kitchen hand in a dingy pub. We had our own little ****ty wireless in the kitchen which had a CD player built into it, and the same CD must have played day in day out for the whole time I worked there. 7 months. I learned track numbers and everything it was on so often and Leona lewis was always skipped to, and that keep bleeding song just goes right through me! :|

And FYI, there is no such thing as good or bad art, it's based on personal interpretation.
I agree with you completely, Vanilla, that there is no such thing as "good" or "bad" art in any of its forms (music, visual, written). Whether people like an artwork is determined by their own values and criteria. One reason I like art is that measures of its worth are subjective. Lady Gaga definitely seems to inspire very different reactions in people. If money and fame are used as criteria for judging the worth of her music, then I would say her art definitely has value.

What interests me...using Leona Lewis as an example, since people are writing about her above...is how people sometimes seem to jump from feeling someone's music is idiotic to feeling that the creator of the music is an idiot. They seem to leap from feeling that not only art is "good" or "bad," but also people are "good" or "bad."

It's an easy thing to do I find. If I don't like someones music I automatically don't like them. The exception being Cheryl Cole. I hate her music, and actually thing she's alright. I don't know the artists personally, but I sort of interpret her from her songs, I don't like her songs, I don't like her. Just because it's the closest way of knowing them really.

In which I'd again like to share Amanda Palmer's video titled "Gaga, Palmer and Madonna" where she sings about art.

What a cute song! I like the part when Amanda Palmer says she hopes people won't think she's narcissistic for performing, and she's just trying to find inner peace while making music.

She mentioned that Lady Gaga doesn't rhyme very often in her lyrics. I hadn't noticed that...probably because the videos are so flashy they distract me from the words.
