Well, while I am not all that enamored with her music, unlike stone_birds, I can appreciate her from a cultural standpoint... she is very unique, and very much a product of the information / image age we are subject to in 2010... only a culture like ours could make an icon of a costume wearing, image shifting, somewhat neutral emotionally figure... To a degree she really makes us stand back from the norms of society and analyse things a bit more, especially through the use of the visual aspect of her music / image. To some degree she is almost a parody of our image - based culture.

And I do enjoy her sarcasm in interviews. That's kinda cool.

So in a weird way I actually kinda like her for everything but her music...

Her slutiness?
Of all of the sluts in the music industry, you're choosing Lady Gaga?
Alright.
You're obviously done talking in this thread.

Why would we bother, your point is barely worth proving wrong, as it's so obviously off base... try picking on a artist whose actually slutty...

It's not even that.
We know she's sexual and such.
And a lot of her songs reflect that.

But there are so many worse things she could be doing.
And at least she's talented.

I used to hate her because she was everywhere and her music is not that big of a deal, but after hearing some other currently popular mainstream music, I have to admit that her music is much better than pretty much everything on the pop music menu, so I guess that out of all the currently active pop artists, she deserves the most to be all over the place...

If I had a Last.fm account, you probably wouldn't find her in mine, but i will defend her cultural relevance, even if I don't go much for her music...

Did you read my post about her and why I think she is a product of our image based culture. She is a product and she knows it. For that I gotta give her kudos. She does the crazy dressing thing because it's her product's prime identifier, along with music.

And although I don't necessarily enjoy that sort of thing musically speaking, i respect it for its intricacy.

Either that or i over - intellectualize everything...
