If people pay it, that's what matters to them.

Yeah but why would you make your tickets really cheap for one of the most publicised tours of the past few years, plus with a massive stage show that needs paying for.

I'm surprised that they're ONLY £75, I reckon she could sell it out charging 3 times that easily.

I can understand why they are charging so much, i just don't like it. Even if i liked her, she could fuck right off if a ticket to see her was that expensive.

I bet they go for 5 times that amount outside the venues on the night.
I'm not sure if I agree with this at all to be honest. Amy Winehouse was undeniably a 'media darling' and it wasn't always just for her drug addiction and self destructive actions, it was indeed for her talent. Her tickets were never over £30 if memory serves me well, this purely goes down to GaGa losing money because of her stage show, nothing more.

She's even admitted that herself and I'm pretty much with Mojo on this that I don't agree with it but I do understand why. People WILL pay it, evidently so as the date is sold out completely.

Her stage show was just stunning. Only paid £30 for a ticket too, was gonna go again before I found out the tickets were £75. LOL, no thanks.
I saw The Specials, an act who have proved to stand the test of time and don't sound like a typical 15 minutes of fame pop act.

Seriously, besides the "wacky" dress sense, what sets her apart from all these other female solo artists who sink into obscurity after less than a year?

I don't know why you're disagreeing with me that's pretty much what I said.

I didn't say she SHOULD charge more, I said she COULD charge more and it would still sell out because of the media hype.
I know it's the stage show that's costing the money, I didn't say the media hype is the cause of the prices, i said it would get people to pay more than they normally would if they had to.

We are talking about a massive stage show here, not 5 floppy haired men in street clothes staring at the floor with a black background.

I was more disagreeing with the first line of your post. You just said £75 isn't dear for a media darling, I was just simply saying it is.

I think if people are going to pay that much for a ticket it's their choice. I wouldn't. People pay over a thousand bucks for a Macbook Air based on it's name and it's flashy thing form, but they could get just as good capabilities from a $500 laptop... each to their own, people want what they want, some look for value, some don't. Some might pay even more than 75 and feel thoroughly justified...
