Personally, I love her. I'm a huge fan. I think she has a great singing voice and has a long career ahead of her.

Tkes more than a good voice to be a musician. If not for her looks she would be on the street singing for change. No disrespect to her but there plenty of people with great voices out there, but are not signed my major labels to sings superpop on mtv.

But RezZ that's life though innit. I would not know a Taylor Swift song if I fell over it but good luck to her.

Exactly. Dont blame the artists, blame the major labels and corporations like Nick and such that make the mainstream such garbage. I say that ppartially for other and partially because its absurd that I should have to search the internet and last fm for decent music. I mean look at the 50's, 60's, 70's, and somewhat 80's/90's...You could turn on top 40 and get some good stuff. Now its Taylor Swift and Solja Boi.

Imo, now that we are in the age of capitalism where corporations rule, it is a fact of life that music shall be ****ty (as well as mainstream games/movies/tc) because of the get rich quick corporation plan.

Actually Rezz I think you lost my point. I don't care that there are corporate FM friendly artists like Taylor Swift. It has always been like that. She is no different than Elton John to me.

I am just surprised that so many of you think that there is some proliferation of commercial artists backed by big corporations and that it is new, or at least more prevalent, than it was in the past. IMO the big corporations have never had it so bad thanks to www and blogs. I am not crying a tear for them by the way. Fuk em. They were ripping of the artist and the punter years back. I learnt that years back when involved in the production of 60,000 CD's (yes 60 thousand CD's) for a company I worked for.

As I said Taylor Swift I know nothing about but she apparently can sing, write as tune and play an instrument and is attractive. So some corporation is now backing her and the public at large are keen. So what! If I hear her and like her I will..........well like her. Being backed by a corporation and your and my mum liking her is kinda nothing to do with it in the end.

I love taylor swift and also Jesse McCartney!!!! I really hope that they will have a back 2 back concert together.
Her songs are so nice, and her voice too. She really rocks, especially when she play's her guitar.
