Do you like it? I really did when I was younger and theres a few decent tracks but now if i listen to it i seem to find myself skipping tracks until theres none left.

It's a good album. But full of a lot of popular songs, ones that I may already be sick of. There are some songs I would probably skip. So I know where you're coming from.

Mojo 09-13-2009 05:01 PM

Scream and This Time Around are pretty good. Theres another one or two I dont mind so much. The rest kinda bores me. Plus Earth Song and Childhood are absolutely awful. It's by far his worst offering.

funnily enough i downloaded a playlist of his 'greatest' songs & i find myself skipping the majority of them. except the classics :D

dont stop till you get enough, it reminds me of chris tucker, remember in rush hour?

human nature, the starts pish, so i dont like the rest.

PYT, as above + its cheesy.

rockin' robyn, :rolf:.

im going to stop now, cos the more i go on, the more i dont like him :( & i really want to!

edit: plus im probably going to get smashed.

Mojo 09-13-2009 05:24 PM

Can You Feel It and Dont Stop Til You get Enough are classics. I may not hate all of the others you mentioned but I can see why people wouldnt like them.

I've never rated Ben myself either.

they may have been classics in their prime.
as i said though, i wasnt brought up around him, it was more rock from my mother & the good old electronica from my siblings :D
as for my father, his taste in music is up his arse.

Arya Stark 09-13-2009 05:34 PM

i have none coming to mind just now, but my mum had a bike & was into rock...
shes completely different these days, she would happily listen to the same stuff as me.

edit: i know she liked brice springsteen, def leppard, AC/DC, genesis, R.E.M., Queen, those are just a few ones that are quite popular i can mind she said she usedto listen to.

if only i had picked up her taste in music, i would have fitted in here almost like a glove. :(

Mojo 09-13-2009 05:52 PM

Heh yeah maybe.

I must admit that Queen are a band I absolutely cannot stand.

This was the thread I was thinking of by the way - http://www.musicbanter.com/general-m...s-music-8.html

you cant stand queen :|?
thats one of the most protrudent bands frommy childhood, i can remember knowing almost every word of Magic :D & dont stop me now.

edit: i can remember freddy mercury was my idol until i seen the bigger picture, that he died of AIDS. :( i was horrified by that in my childhood.

One of the best ever. I know i'm late.....

I loved his music, and I lthink he was a brilliant performer and dancer. He will be missed, he is still on the news.

BoRox 09-16-2009 03:06 PM

Michael Jackson was a brilliant performer. You know what destroyed him is us - the public.

Yeah, just ridiculous donating millions of endless dollars to charity, founding his own organisation, inviting sick children to simply have a best time they could as they might not have that much left, being a father to his own children and creating music which will NEVER be topped by anybody in the world. How ridiculous.

I'm pretty sure that's not the part of his lifestyle that killed him.

The rest of it wasn't 'his' lifestyle...

LOL. The man's day to day ritual involved taking boatloads of pharmaceuticals. He was an adult and it was his choice to do that, ergo it was his lifestyle. He died as a result. The end.

It wasn't his choice though, he had literally no control over anything. I can only assume you take your information from the media and no other? If you did any sort of research into Michael you'd know that but of course unless you're interested or a fan then you wouldn't. He was surrounded by very shady people and he wasn't taking 'boatloads' of pharmaceuticals, he didn't die as a result of that. Again, if you researched you'd find out that his body was moved after he died.

NSW 09-18-2009 12:13 PM

You know...maybe I haven't done enough "research"...but how does him supposedly moved after he died have anything to do with his poor lifestyle choices and/or him taking drugs?

And what's more, how can anyone have absolutely NO CHOICE about what happens to themselves?

Because it shows that he didn't die of a simple overdose, it shows that something suspicious happened.

I can't post links but if you Google 'VIDEO: Secret Tapes Reveal Michael Jackson's Fear Of His Advisor' and click the first link then it will give you a little idea.
And there's more...

Urban Hat€monger ? 09-18-2009 12:54 PM

What's so suspicious about taking a cocktail of pills everyday & then dying from it.

People spend far too much time looking for things that are not there.

Arya Stark 09-18-2009 12:55 PM

That's why they're blaming it on everyone but him.

No they're not, the guy was a nervous wreck from stress at having to play 50 gigs and was a drug addict in the process. If you think a person can manage that & not have any ill effects i'd like to meet them.

boo boo 09-18-2009 01:12 PM

Yeah, as much as we don't want to believe it, Michael Jackson was human, he was not really a superhero who could turn into a giant robot.

Even though that's what I thought he was when I was a kid. :(
