I am seeing a lot of elements of Michael Jackson's old tunes in Rihanna's music. Can't seem to recall which one but I hear Michael in the background.

It was most likely a sample. Fucking Rihanna.

I also love Michael Jackson. Melody of song "Beat it" is very impressive.

Unquestionably Michael Jackson had a number of great songs (particularly on the albums Thriller and um, Off The Wall, but that's ignoring an important factor: he only contributed to about three of the songs on Off The Wall, and wrote only four songs from Thriller. Michael Jackson was never a productive songwriter, the bulk of his albums having been written by professionals. For that reason, there's no way his ilk can be compared with the likes of, say, a truly talented songwriter like Prince, who not only wrote most of his own material but produced and played the instruments too.

Michael Jackson, other than a few strokes of genius (e.g. Beat It, Billie Jean, Wanna Be Startin' Something), was never consistently productive as far as great songs go.

Well I do agree that MJ has provided plenty of entertainment. It's a pity his music has'nt since about 1983.

---Any real music fan knows its ridiculous to compare Prince and Michael Jackson---

I know. Real music fans know that Prince owns his ass.

Holy ****, that man is scary. In that beatbox-video, he doesn't even look human. He's like a terminator, only he's not made for killin', he's made for entertainment.

Many, many years ago, a friend of mine saw a guy from his school, in public, close his eyes and sing MJ's Earth Song with feeling. That guy must've been immune to embarassment.

Urban isn't the one "constantly" bringing it up. In fact its you pigheaded fanboys who can't take something said against him that keep bring it up. "You don't like his music? You're just judging him because he sleeps with little boys! Blah blah blah."
