Everyone is making a big deal about him kissing that fellow on stage. I think there is nothing wrong with that at all. Anyone who is against ***s is ignorant if you ask me.

It wasn't censored merely because of the kiss. *** and Lesbian stuff is on television all the time.

It was the oral sex simulation as well as what he did with men and woman. If it was a girl he held up to his crotch they'd censor that too... it's prime time ABC for goodness sake.

And with his bloated, over-the-top, bad Queen cover band meets American Idol cheese - record sales are all you've got. You can't expect the critics to eat that garbage up.

I dug Lambert in American Idol, thought he had much more vocal talent than the runner up, maybe not more skill, but talent without a doubt. I however could not sit through half of that crappy song before I closed the window and decided never again, will I voluntarily listen to that song again. To me it sounds like the rest of the second rate mainstream pop trash.

you expected differently anywhere along these lines?

does anyone here (not including the obvious spammers) honestly believe that any 'winner' from an Idol show will go down in music history as anything besides a footnote?

will anyone remember their name in 5 years? can anyone who doesn't follow the show religiously name another past winner besides Kelly Clarkson and that horrible chinese singer guy?

He was not a winner, came in second(Neither was "the horrible Chinese singer guy"), and I had high hopes for him. He has a beautiful voice, and there is a possibility that he might become the new lead singer of queen. Just because someone is on American Idol, does not mean that they are automatically crap.
As for past Idol members that are popular currently

Kelly Clarkson, Clay Aiken, Chris Daughtry, and as of now, Adam Lamburt. Not saying any of these guys are musically talented, but they are pretty damn popular and will probably remain so for some time.
