Default Orianthi

This girl is extremly talented, she can jam brilliantly, and I'm sure she has it in her to write a brilliant song. I just want to know why she released the most generic, autotuned, disappointing pop song I've ever heard.
Shes actually talented. She worked with Prince, Michael Jackson, Carlos Santana, and Eric Clapton. And she made an absolutly horrible popsong. What am I missing?

She absolutely DESTROYED my theory of horrible female guitarists. Like there are some decent ones, but I wouldn't say any really good ones. But now Orianthi, after seeing her perfect Eddie Van Halen's solo in Michael Jackson's "Beat It" has changed my mind.

And Ani DeFranco is an amazing acoustic guitarist.

I know, too bad she can't do something more substantial with all that guitar potential though. Its not just a pop song, its a BAD pop song. I'm sad.

I was actually surprised how generic it is - could be any tryhard. 'According to You' has has reached Top 10 in AUS and Top 40 in US; I guess she wanted to make a safe impact on the charts, which she has.
Even if it's pop/rock she wants to make, she should try and make it a bit more creative like Pink's music.

Well, it's selling. Let's just hope that she's more comfortable next time to show us what she can really do. Something like, "Oh,you like this? Well, then you'll love this."

I wish Orianthi was a rock singer instead of pop because she is amazing on the guitar.

Me too. She seems to be doing well because of "This is It". Glad the record company cashed in on her when they did, I guess.

The beginning of this thread compared to now is proof that I have learned to spell, isn't it?
