Do people really hate these guys? I grew up with them and still love them...

I've got the two or three of their songs that I can stand on my iTunes. I grew up with them too. They did a handful of decent pop songs back in the day, I'll give them that. Plus High, Lifted and Raincloud are a few of many guilty pleasure of mine.

I used to love this band as a child, and when I think back on their songs I just have weird memories of buying second hand Super Nintendo games from Cash Converters. They always seemed to be playing Lighthouse Family songs, pretty much just 'Ocean Drive', 'lifted' and 'High' though. I never made an effort to listen to them as an adult though, as good as I remember them being, and as good as they still are when I have heard them nowadays, I dont want to listen to them properly... because I dont want to ruin the childhood memories associated with them if that makes sence.

I'll be honest. Cannot stand this band. I used to endure car journeys wherein my mum would play the likes of The Lighthouse Family, M People and Simply Red. I will never forgive her for those hours of torment.
