Il Duce, I had completely forgotten about the existence of Blancmange until I read your post!

I used to have their cassette and listened to their music often in the 80s, trying to distill truth about love through their songs. I liked the quirky sweetness of their music and, listening again after all these years, still do. Here are some of the Blancmange songs that were my favorites back in the 80s:

Blancmange - "Don't Tell Me" - a happy sounding, slightly intense song paired with a cool video that is fun and odd:

Blancmange - "Waves" -- I loved to listen to this song to put myself in a melancholy funk. A pretty, melodramatic song. Listening to it still makes me sad:

Blancmange - "What's Your Problem" -- a song about empathy: "When you used to be attached, you never wanted to let go and now you're falling apart. Your situation strikes me right on my heart."
