Mike Oldfield - Moonlight Shadow

misspoptart 09-13-2015 06:33 AM

That video for Moonlight Shadow is wonderfully cheesy. Interestingly I had only ever heard the version of it by X-perience, which is, most shockingly, not on youtube.

Love the song, but prefer the eurodance version :D

Mr. Charlie 09-15-2015 12:29 PM

I'm not familiar with the eurodance version, but I love the original. The remix can't really be better, can it? I mean really? ;)

For some reason, this song brings to mind this classic Janet Jackson track (for me at least)...

Your reasoning is probably correct because both releases are from the same stable. Both were produced by the duo of Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis (The Time). Both are from about the same time, 1987 & 1989. And I believe both were recorded in the same studio in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Incredible voice... Tanita is gorgeous.

This one kindles me memories and sets 'em a-burning.

She is lovely. I bought the album but only like two of the tracks. Oh well, that's still twice as many as only liking one track I suppose.

I saw that group last year on a local cruise ship. Actually quite good live. They had the dance floor a hoppin :) Daddy Cool was done well too.

Sia's latest song is pretty good. I am looking forward to her new album.

Mr. Charlie 11-07-2015 08:59 AM

Anything by Abba. The only bad thing they ever made was their museum ( which is overpriced and not worth the entry fee). Although their "Mamma Mia: the party" may be fun (opens in January in Gröna Lund which is an amusement park in Stockholm).

The cellist gets down and whoever is wailing on that organ should adopt me like yesterday stat--I'll call 'em mom/dad, both if they prefer.

Iunno how to classify this other than pop, I'm sure one of you aficionados will correct me if I'm wrong.

From the movie Spun, a quirky exposition on the crystal meth scene, mainly from the narrative of a user. It's got John Leguizamo, Mickey Rourke, Britney Murphy, and some other people you might recognize. It's entertaining to say the least.
