Oh was it? You talked about Never Learn Not To Love? I didn't know it was a single. But yes it was mostly written by Charles Manson, but Dennis rewrote those words. But don't put Beach Boys down, don't ya? Though Beatles comparison ain't fair cos nobody compares with them. Comparisons are stupid anyway.

I don't believe you talked about Surfin' USA/Sweet Little Sixteen cos I don't believe Chuck Berry is a mass murder?

I'm talking about when they ripped off Manson. The Beach Boys are alright, though, their hits, anyway. Have only heard a couple of songs.

It's actually one of the few "vs" threads that make sense imo, since the two bands considered themselves in a bit of a friendly competition with each other at one time.

I agree. Those two bands inspired and competed with each other throughout the 60's. Sgt peppers was Macca trying to outdo pet sounds (and succeeding) (-: sure its a dumb argument as they are both great and its all subjective but thats the interwebs for you.

And the Beatles win here there and everywhere.
