Always thought their first album was a lot of fun...

But I actually prefer the second album most people I talk to don't seem to even know existed. Speed Ballads was really quite good and had me interested in where the band might go before they broke up.

They (somewhat) recently released a new version of Ready to Go, a clip from which can be heard heard on MySpace at a page I can't link to apparently because I do not have 15 posts under my belt yet... but I am sure a search in Google "Republica 2010" or "Ready to Go 2010" would bring it up...

Anywho, from the snippet there, the song is not hugely altered, but sounds a bit more modern.

They seem to be touring again too...

Makes me wonder if there might be a more substantial reunion effort (a new album) at some point.

I do remember this band Republica during the 90s. Ready to go was cool!

well the UK had to answer to Garbage somehow. it's not like Curve had been forging that musical path for a few years... oh wait.

and who would have thunk, a remix of their only major hit got released this past summer...
