I think the new song is in the same key as the old one. I could hear "Friday" when I was listening to the new song.

I personally don't like the song, and I don't think she can sing very well.

However, I think it's great that she's following her dreams and writing music; most kids her age wouldn't have gotten this far. That takes determination, esp since she was picked on a lot for this song. Maybe in time her lyrics will become more meaningful and she'll find a singing style that works better with her voice.
