Sparky gave his reasons why he doesn't like a band, people like myself agreed with him. That's the point of a music forum Jack, to discuss why you like or do not like a band. I then clearly made an error of misjudgement with regards to a post, which I've apologised for. There's no drama.

Yea, I sort of deleted my post before you said this. I was kind of resurrecting an already idiotic debate that ended two or three days ago... Kind of pointless to try to sooth a fairly dramatic argument that had already died down...

EDIT: In fact, I'm not really helping by using words like "idiotic" to make a point, but... eh.

It's kind of funny that, after the demands for a more thorough explanation of why anyone would like them, I wrote up a whole paragraph about it only to be met with silence.

You should be ashamed of yourself.

Terence Hill, as recently confirmed during an interview to an Italian TV talk-show, was offered the role but rejected it because he considered it "too violent". Dustin Hoffman and John Travolta declined the role for the same reason. When Al Pacino was considered for the role of John Rambo, he turned it down when his request that Rambo be more of a madman was rejected.

Eh, you underestimate how low I score 'average'.

You made some fair points. I have differing views on some of what you said, but does anyone really care at this point? We are arguing about the artistic merit of LMAO after all.

I just hope that the mainstream sound changes into something else soon, preferably less dancey.

I wouldn't hold your breath. Mainstream music has been dancey since pretty much the beginning of time.

Yeah but it has it's cycles right? Everyone loves to point out the 90's alt rock being the antithesis to the 80's glam pop fest, which may or may not be true.

But i totally see what your saying, i guess electro-dancey is what i should have specified.

Yeah, I totally agree with that. The whole plastic-sounding electro thing was a cool contrast a decade ago but now it's just sounding tired. I am definitely looking forward to the inevitable wave of more dirty sounding music, especially with hip hop.
