That definitely seems to be the trend, but I don't think it's necessarily the rule. Maybe it's just wishful thinking, though.

yea i kinda think that for most people the appeal of pop music is that it's more about fantasy and escapism than anything rooted in reality. so by getting too specific it would make it too "real" and turn people off.
