personally wiretap scars is far better than porcelain. austere is also brilliant. i get tired of the same chords after a cd, but individually, all the songs on porcelain kick arse.
i saw these guys play this year also. that was a ****ing great show. the supporting band was almost as good as sparta. the mint chicks. good band

Default Sparta or The Mars Volta

just a few questions
which do you pick?.... do you like sparta's new cd or old cd better?
what genre would you classify both bands?

1)lets see Sparta is about 10 times better than mars Volta unless you tripping on something
2)Sparta classifies them selves as Alternative / Post Hardcore so ill go with the band on this one im not sure about mars Volta
3)Sparta’s 1st cd is better than

dang i hade a chance to see Sparta live and i didn’t go i didn’t have enough money getting fired form my job in all too

Whenever they play over here it's either festivals or as support to another band. Saw them first as support for Hundred Reasons and it was a great show, then the next time I saw them they blew Queens of the Stone Age off the stage, and then at Reading festival they came on just before Evan Dando of the Lemonheads. That was a great night.

I loved the Mars Volta album, when I saw them I really would have liked it if they'd played something from it, instead of doing fifteen minute jazz solos. Just a personal preference, that's all.
