Flea played bass on De-loused in the Comatorium too, they're good friend apparently so they got them to play some stuff rather than hiring some session musicians they didn't know.

Mars Volta. Good band. I think their three biggest influences are Pink Floyd, Rush, and of course At The Drive-In. Does that sound about right?
