I thought it sounded like a cut and paste job of earlier material, with a few latin rhythms chucked in for good measure.

Close to the edge can't be topped, in my opinion.

The Ladder was certainly a step in the right direction though.

I think the Homeworld theme was the first Yes song I ever heard but I had never heard of Yes back then, awesome game that was.

I`ve heard every single Yes album except "Magnification" I`ve got it, but it just kind of got forgotten, do you think Yes will ever release another album? As having a quick read on wiki it kind of seems unlikely.

Relayer is still my favorite Yes album, but The Yes Album through Close to the Edge is absolute perfection in music.

Would anyone be able to PM me Relayer. I can't find a good link anywhere, which seems pretty strange because I didn't have any trouble getting the other Yes albums.

Yes Interview

Hi,

My name is Ben Hewitt and I'm the news editor of The Quietus, a UK music website.

We've just published an interview with Yes bassist Chris Squire, which I think you may be interested in.

Have a look and let us know what you think!

Cheers

I m a big yes fan my fave albums are the yes album close to the edge and the three live albums yessongs yesshows and keys to ascension two more studio albums time and a word live at the bbc tormato and drama saw them live in 1991 at the nec birmingham they are fantastic jon anderson s the main man if he left there wouldnt be a yes

Yon Troper 12-04-2009 04:56 PM

^Sorry, Jon Anderson did leave. Well, kinda. They're touring with a singer named Benoit David, but they're being a bit fuzzy about whether Jon Anderson's officially left or not. (Having said that, I think Drama is decent, which didn't have Jon Anderson.)

Anyway, I'm a proud Trooper. Close to the Edge is my personal favourite, The Yes Album is of course another classic, and I think Relayer was an interesting change. Still, almost everything Yes did (that includes Anderson Bruford Wakeman Howe) is great... except for Tormato and Union, but hey, a great band has to have a few clunkers once in a while.

The Official: (YES) & Band Members, Solo Album's & single's (Thread).

The band (Yes) is one of the most artistic bands in the history of progressive, classical, & Rock music, etc. (Period).
An era when rock music reached a level of perfection artistically in most every aspect with the application of intricate musical arrangements, articulation, and outstanding studio production.
(Genres)= (Progressive rock, symphonic rock, art rock, pop rock, psychedelic rock (early).
No band is better than 'YES', when it comes to my personal, 'Biased' opinion & loyality. :)
