Ok...having revisited all three albums since my last post, I can now say that I prefer Sgt. Pepper's over the other two. Each album has its share of songs I don't really care for, but I find the good songs on Sgt. Pepper's to be better than the good songs on the other two albums. All in all I rate them all about the same, but The Beatles would be the more enjoyable one for me. Pink Floyd wins second place.

I'd love to see your signature/links too, but the huge and obnoxious ones have caused me to block all signatures.

Pepper's takes the cake.

Pop music perfection, with a little more than a hint of maturity.

Have you heard SF Sorrow?

There is a problem with people ignoring it.

Oh absolutely. I own it. Reading a review on Allmusic, I came across this:

Quote:
The tale and the songs are a bit downbeat and no amount of scrutiny can disguise the fact that the rock opera S.F. Sorrow is ultimately a bit of a confusing effort -- these boys were musicians, not authors or dramatists. Although it may have helped inspire Tommy, it is, simply, not nearly as good.
That's just the way it is. It's what distinguishes Tommy from American Idiot.

I disagree but whatever (Tommy is awful)

Most people seem to just ignore it by the way.

SF Sorrow is great, but as I said early in the post piper takes it for me. I find myself usually putting on piper instead of SF Sorrow. It's possible that Sorrow is a better album, but I've never really analysed either album extensively. When I have the time next I'll have to listen to both albums again and see which one I fully prefer. Also most people who prefer piper also thinks that SF sorrow is better than Sgt Peppers.

And what are your thoughts on Sgt. Peppers?

The whole album is just a total rip-off of the beatles.
