Can for me. My favourite does change fairly often though.

Jethro Tull does it for me, even though I'm a mighty fan of VDGG.

It's tough for me, because I love all these bands.

But when I get down to it, it's gotta be either KC or Yes, I'm not sure who to vote for yet.

I went for class this time, Mahavishnu Orchestra. John McLaughlin has the capacity to sound like a genius or a crackpot, and too often he seems the latter, but The Inner Mounting Flame is simply glorious. Shame the last 25 years he's devoted himself to not much more than jerking off.

Have you heard his album Extrapolation? That's probably my favourite McLaughlin.

Yes, KC, or Comus.

First Utterance is a great album.

The list was a vast improvement! It's a bit hard to choose, so I just went with what I'm liking the most these days .. and then it was down to one of the Canterbury bands.

I went with Caravan. If I get to vote again in a week or so, I'm guessing my vote will go to Camel.

I know it's the cliche choice, but I went with Pink Floyd. Their grace and restraint puts them above most other progressive bands IMO.

King Crimson and Yes also did many great things in the '70s though, and I really need to hear more Can. I also dig both Soft Machine/Robert Wyatt and Neu!, and was surprised that neither were included in the poll.
