Sorry.
Bagg's is ONLY looking for vintage instruments, retro-sound prog.

....

Baggs heard only the Fleet Foxes cd with the Breughel coverart. Only enjoyed one track.
One gets the feel they are some sort of BoyBand trying to cashin on this fad.

I don't pay much attention to fads. I found them when just looking up indie bands a couple of months ago. It was only until recently that I learned "hipsters" rave about them, but then again... you don't have to be a hipster to admire and enjoy their music.

Popsike (or retro-psych) is a great genre as long as your not listening to mass-fodder like Fleet Foxes or Baby Woodrose.

Are you familiar with the trio, WALTER GHOUL'S LAVENDER BRIGADE?
This is primo take on Kinks/Floyd "Relics"-period.
Only problem is the sound-production is a bit amateurish on the first one. When I said as much to Oliver Crumb (I believe it was) , he got all huffy and refused to admit it.

****, I said recent, didnt I? But this gotta be a decade old.
Their website is long gone, but you might get summat here:

I have a list, probably some are known, some aren't, i'll put it here anyway:

Myrath
Theocracy
Harmony
Outworld
The Black Noodle Project
Holderlin
Lehto & Wright
Ciccada
Seven Tears
Orphaned Land
Riverside
Aspera
Haken

I'll add more later or something.

Milano:

Ciccada is truely an excellent recent Greek psychedelic band.

But as to Riverside....

Stuff like "Any Colour You Like"

I've tried a lot of psychedelic rock acts, like Hawkwind and Quicksilver Messenger Service, and I find none of them comparable to the trippiness of Pink Floyd.

Basically, what I want to hear is psych rock with mind bending synths, akin to the ones found on "Any Colour You Like" ... from the mighty Dark Side of The Moon.

Only early Porcupine Tree are satisfying my psychedelic rock hunger, so far.

Any recommendations ?

Regards.

I recently discovered a lost (to me) classic - Parachute by The Pretty Things. Beautiful.
