As you say, it makes a very pleasant change from the over-serious declarations of some artists.
And when the verse is repeated with Richard Sinclair doing his bubbly thing .. Ahh, such beauty

Yes, when the Great Unwashed attempt to barb you with the "pretentious" line just tell them to give a listen to Hatfield lyrics (or Caravan of Dreams).

(Of course, content in their cozy cocoon of self-imposed ignorance, they wont.)
