I have never heard of that touchstone band, but It Bites is a very fine AOR/neo-prog band. Their 'once around the world' album is a 5-star record. The album that followed, 'eat me in St-Louis' was more hard-rock oriented but still very good. It is worth noticing that Francis Dunnery, it Bites' frontman, has vocals similar to Peter Gabriel, and guitar play influenced by Alland Holdsworth.

Been away from MB a lot these days but I have both albums ready on Spotify although It Bites fill me with dread. Calling All The Heroes is a terrible song and put me off them big time but I will listen to both albums over the weekend and report back.

Should be listening to both albums later this evening.

So are you abstaining from the vote, or do you hate one less than the other? I'm surprised you don't find anything good in either really, but then, to each his own: we've had our Supertramp argument after all...

The It Bites album is poor, if this passes as prog these days......well need I say more. They sound more like a mixture of Level 42 and a whole load of other terrible pop bands that infested the UK charts in the 1980s, hopefully Touchstone will be better.

Yes but I wasn't expecting them to sound like a pop band.
