THE best of the Star Trek movies, bar none. With "First Contact" a close second. The rest are all pretty meh.

So are we ready for a new battle? These are all pretty tame so far: 6/4, 4/3 --- WE PAID FOR BLOOOOOOD!!! :D

I'd say that if people are just responding to Star Trek references now, a new battle might be a good idea.

OK well in that case, Electrophonic Tonic has suggested this:

Supertramp --- Crime of the century

vs

The Moody Blues --- In search of the lost chord

(Which oddly enough was the album from which today's "Random Track of the Day" came for my journal...)

Anyway, good one, and one I can finally weigh in on. Without any reservations or hesitations, it's several million votes for Supertramp!

Okay then, just the one.

Supertramp --- Crime of the century ---1 vote
The Moody Blues --- In search of the lost chord --- 0 votes

I just listened to the Supertramp last night for the umpteenth time, the Moody Blues I know really well as well. A tough choice will think about it and place my vote a bit later.

After further thought, the Moody Blues album is probably their best with its unique feel and instrumentation, it really continues from their previous album and breakthrough piece Days of Future Passed. These releases by the Moody's were essential albums in the building of prog. Supertramps third effort came at a time when prog was in full flow and had already had some landmark albums, it was their third album and the first where the Hodgson and Davies partnership fully flourished, its an easy listening prog album that is highlighted by some stunning musical pieces mostly on "School" and the title track. Its stands as one of the great prog albums of the 1970s.

Supertramp -2
Moody Blues -0

i have other Moody Blues, not this one

i don't have a single Supertramp, and i only know their "girlfriend, she's the only one I got" and "give your love to me" songs

I like Crime of the Century, but not as much as I adore In Search of the Lost Chord. It's such a beautiful, laid-back, classic 60s album ..

So my vote goes to The Moody Blues :)

Supertramp -2
Moody Blues -1

I haven't listened to Crime of the Century in several years. It was among some stolen CDs and one of the few I haven't replaced.

I really like In Search of the Lost Chord, but I will be fair and try to get a copy of Crime before casting my vote.
