Default Best psychedelic albums?

I'd say Sgt Peppers, Piper at the gates of dawn, are the two best with the doors close behind but no other true greats come to mind

Wow, how cliche' of you OP.

Do you mean only psychedelic albums from the 60s and 70s? Because it's not as if psychedelia ever died.

The best Psychadelic album is whichever mysterious comp I can get my hands on at any given moment! Nothing like listening to a dozen obscure '66 garage Psych bands with Farfisa organs and Vox guitars. That's where the real fun of Psychadelia is!

If I had to pick only one album to listen to for the rest of my life it would be

Incense and Peppermints - Strawberry Alarm Clock

so I guess that's my pick.

You seem to really dig the Strawberry Alarm Clock. Did you see them in "Beyond the Valley of the Dolls" and "Psych-Out"?

The United States Of America's self titled album might be my favourite among the "classics".

No, I haven't seen either film. Welcome to the boards by the way.

Thanks!

I've heard that the Rolling Stones' album "Their Satanic Majesties Request" is supposed to be a classic Psychadelic album, kind of their response to the Beatles' Sergeant Pepper.

I've actually never heard TSMR. I don't really dig the Stones, though many others here do. Do you?
