The problem with King Crimson is they go from totally amazing to utterly pretentious.

Anyone who wants to check out the worst case of bloated prog rock only has to pick up their Larks Tongue In Aspic album.

Yeah but there comes a point when it gets ridiculous.

Rick Wakeman`s The 6 wives of Henry VIII on ice for example

I like Rick Wakeman , everytime he`s been on a TV show they always make fun of him although he does it to himself a lot more , and he takes it in good humour. Just don`t ask me to listen to any of his solo stuff.

Yeah, never was big on his solo work, but gotta love his work with Yes, his work on Fragile and Close to the Edge was nothing less than brillant, his work on Bowies Space Odditity album was not bad either.

Let there be life!

King Crimson is an amazing band. In The Court of the Crimson King was an amazing album and In The Wake of Poseidon is pretty good too, especially tracks like Cat Food. I love that damn song. I have a bunch of their old stuff, and just recently I got The Power To Believe, which is pretty good too. Apparently they were on tour with Tool a while ago, it'd be cool to seem them regroup once Tool releases their new album.
