Flogging Molly

Any Flogging Molly fans here?

I used to really like myself some Flogging Molly, but....I haven't done a lotta listening to them lately....guess I got bored with 'em

Anyone else like them?

sleepy jack 11-20-2005 09:35 PM

I love flogging molly much more original then the dropkicks in my opinion.

bungalow 11-20-2005 09:41 PM

mos def

Flogging Molly feels more real than DKM....Ive seen them both and Flogging Molly has way more energy...they were much more fun

There is about 2 DKM songs I like
-For Boston
-Spicy McHaggus Jig

PerFeCTioNThrUSileNCe 11-20-2005 10:30 PM

i couldnt pick between those two...but i do like me some flogging molly especially when im at work skating around. tis fun stuff.

tallestguy323 11-21-2005 03:11 PM

dude!....they put on a rockin show!...i saw them warped tour for the frist time and it was way high energy...it was the last show of the day and we were all exhausted from the heat and other bands and such...but when they came on....boom!...it was awesome!....they got everyone rockin out!...i love those guys...

bungalow 11-21-2005 03:13 PM

where did you see them on warped and what year?

tallestguy323 11-21-2005 03:51 PM

oh dude...this was like last year?...i think...in ventura - seaside park...and the last time i saw them was on st. paddy's day in san diego...

bungalow 11-21-2005 03:55 PM

oh...i saw them 2004 in ATL....hot as a bitch outside

tallestguy323 11-21-2005 04:02 PM

damn...hot-lanta huh?...ouch...yeah i think it '04 also...and yes it was hott as f*** too but probably not as hot as out there...plus seaside park is uhmmmm...by the sea so that helped a lil bit

bungalow 11-21-2005 04:04 PM

It was like 94 degrees i think....and everyone was packed in so tight I couldnt even escape the mosh....i had to duck down to breathe, and I had spent all my money on a t-shirt 25$ aint that a bitch so i couldnt buy a drink

tallestguy323 11-21-2005 04:06 PM

yeah it was that crowded there too...but i wanted to be in the mosh and if i need to breathe i would jus head walk...hahaha...$25 for a shirt?!....what the hell kinda shirt did u buy?

bungalow 11-21-2005 04:07 PM

The Guinness Flogging Molly Shirt

tallestguy323 11-21-2005 04:08 PM

oh...rite on

bungalow 11-21-2005 04:09 PM

i wear it all the time

who else did you see?
Did you see the Phenomanauts or the Teenage Hartlets...they were good....live, on CD they suck it up

tallestguy323 11-21-2005 04:14 PM

naw...never even heard of 'em...but i saw coheed, nofx, the aquabats, nfg?...damn i cant even remember the rest...bad memory!

bungalow 11-21-2005 04:16 PM

Oh....TH and The Phenom. were at the Space station stage

cardboard adolescent 11-21-2005 04:35 PM

Mmm... wasn't '04 Bad Religion? Bad Religion, Vandals, Flogging Molly, and NOFX all put on a great show.

Too bad Bad Religion's new album is pretty mediocre.

half_baked87 11-23-2005 12:41 PM

flogging molly is the ****, drunken lullabies is the only song i've learned or wanted to learn on banjo. i was a little dissappointed in their newer album, but its still great.

bungalow 11-23-2005 02:22 PM

I like the new CD....at first I was really disappointed, but after a few listens I thought it to be as good as Swagger and Drunken Lullabies

Muzak 11-23-2005 02:33 PM

Flogging Molly is so good but I found their new album not as good. I love the song Black Friday Rule.

xAnniChan 11-25-2005 07:06 PM

I got bored with Flogging Molly, but now that I think about it I wanna listen to them.
Black Friday Rule is a great song.

HxCkid66 12-02-2005 02:44 AM

i just recently saw the murphy's live this summer...i was up against the gate in the mist of it all...i'd say they were even before that and then...the murphy's have pulled ahead...that have so much energy and you thrive off it and its just good f**king music!

Ha.....FM is a million and one times better than DM, no doubt about it

half_baked87 12-03-2005 02:05 PM

dropkick murphys are street punk, whats comparable about them to flogging molly, their irish? flogging molly is a folk/punk band.

bungalow 12-03-2005 02:06 PM

Oh...geez, I'm sorry, how dare I compare a "srteet punk" band to a "folk punk" band

Shame on me

half_baked87 12-03-2005 02:09 PM

apology accepted :yeah:

sleepy jack 12-03-2005 02:14 PM

Everyone compares the dropkicks and flogging molly though...

PerFeCTioNThrUSileNCe 12-03-2005 02:16 PM

for stupid reasons....

MURDER JUNKIE 12-09-2005 01:32 AM

I prefer The Real Mckenzies to either of them

PerFeCTioNThrUSileNCe 12-09-2005 01:41 AM

hmm....too bad the thread is called "flogging molly"....and not "the real mckenzies" or "drop kick murphy's"..

GoodbyeBlueSky 12-09-2005 04:00 PM

Making an alternative suggestion? Yes I believe it is constructive

I like them way and much better then the dropkicks..but I own both.

Raine 12-30-2006 01:22 PM

I loathe Flogging Molly.
The first song I heard by them was probably Drunken Lullabies and I hated it.
Thank God they don't get any more air play in Philly.
