Bad religion anyone?

well they are pretty high on my list of favorite punk bands and i'm really disapointed with this forum because there is nothing in it at all....its like.....anti-flag...which i hate...by the way... and one misfits thread.. this is like terrible.. so anyway back on topic... i just was wondering who else enjoys bad religion and favorite songs and ideas on their new album and the one coming out in june...

Kathryn 05-11-2004 12:23 AM

I really don't know that much about Bad Religion, my friends listen to it so I've heard a few songs but that's it.
But I do know what you mean about this forum, I tried to start a thread on Radiohead (one of my favourites) and there's been maybe one response! I guess most of the people on here have very specific tastes ( or hate radiohead *sob*)

Beor Uaine 05-12-2004 09:20 AM

Bad Religion are one of my favorite punk bands.

thisguitar 05-14-2004 10:34 AM

I like bad religion, ever since I heard the song American Jesus on TV.

godsey 05-31-2004 03:43 AM

HOW CAN ANYONE HATE RADIO HEAD!?!?!?!?!

independent_loser_kid 10-08-2004 10:10 AM

Bad Religion are kick. Well in my opinion anyways. They're new album the empire strikes first is pretty good. Sinister Rouge is a really great song. I like recipe for hate a bit better though.

Jonah 10-08-2004 07:02 PM

I enjoy Bad Religion a lot. I admire Greg Graffin's education behind all this music, and the fact that he has a backround in philosophy and psychology/sociology. He's brilliant. The band is talented, and has been for a while now. They rock when they play live as well.

It's called "Recipe for Hate" and the best song according to my taste on this one is Skyscraper.

All Bad Religion records are classic but if you really want to know were it all started from go out and get "How Could Hell Be Any Worse".
This record used to be out of print till recently.

*I have to warn you though that sound is not as polished as in later releashes!

Finally if somebody here owns "Into the unknown" he has my utmost respect and I hope he/she will be willing to sell... :)

jibber 10-14-2004 07:00 PM

^ i just picked that one up (how could hell be any worse). oligarchy is porbably my favorite song, but they're all good tracks. one of my favorite bad religion songs is infected, from a good album too (stranger than fiction).

Beor Uaine 10-22-2004 06:31 PM

They're playing a show next Friday near me. I might go, if my plans change and I can get a ticket. They were great on the Warped Tour. They play "Infected", "21st Digital Boy",and "Stranger Than Fiction" when I saw them.

jesus 10-22-2004 07:07 PM

I didn't even see a misfits thread...

this forum is really sad......

jibber 10-23-2004 10:03 PM

^ then leave

All_Nite_Dinah 10-23-2004 10:34 PM

I've always found most Bad Religion really really boring. I totally respect Greg Gaffin, and Brett Guerwitz, but the band just bugs me. the only thing I really liked that they ever put out was Suffer, but other than that it just seems boring.

Skank 11-04-2004 06:30 AM

I think they're actually one of the few good punk bands out there.
They can all play their instruments to a satisfactory level and the lead singer.....OH MY GOD!!! He actually sings!!

They sing about punk issues and I'm glad they're still around. "The empire strikes first" is absolutely amazin!

rise_above 11-10-2004 11:51 PM

Since they've got brooks wackerman as their drummer, they've gotten much faster and better. i have to admit based on some of the songs i've heard on they're non-epitaph albums, i think the albums that weren't on epitaph kinda sucked alittle bit. but they're still one of my favorites. and the empire strikes back was a great album. i didn't like 'to another abyss' (#9) though.

sleepy jack 10-24-2005 05:32 PM

Bad Religion

I sawll a millencolin thread and wanted to dicuss bad religion cause they kick ass.I searched and theres one thread on them but its poorly done.SO there like political pop punk stuff. My favorite song they did is american jesus (which simpleplan has done a cover of). They were one of the first punk bands i heard when i heard sorrow on the radio and twas like heroin.

Reccomandations

American Jesus
Atomic Garden
Infected
L.A. Is Burning

HollywoodPeace 10-24-2005 05:45 PM

One of the reasons I like Bad Religion is because they've been around for so long...and they keep making music. I think Greg's voice sounds great, there's something unique about it, and it just opens ears. But I feel that their new stuff doesn't sound as good as their old stuff. I can't seem to get too into their new stuff. Favorite Album = Against the Grain <-It's really good.

I like BR. My bf's all time fav band. He has the boy on fire from the cd Suffer, on the back of his arm from his elbow to his shoulder. Looks nice.

Saw BR. Love them live.

hookers with machineguns 10-24-2005 09:40 PM

I'm not a big fan, but I liked a couple of their more popular singles from time to time. Like "Sorrow", that's just a gooood song.

Hellhound-138 10-24-2005 09:57 PM

BR is one of the best old school so cal hardcore bands. My favorite songs are I Wanna Conquer The World, Sorrow, American Jesus, White Trash, and We're Only Gonna Die. Has anyone ever heard Sublime's version of We're Only Gonna Die?

TheBig3 10-24-2005 10:06 PM

Conquer is probably my favorite song by them.

PerFeCTioNThrUSileNCe 10-24-2005 10:28 PM
