Holy shi't, i'll definitely be gtting Zen Arcade then. I think Double Nickels is on its way to becoming my single favorite album of all time. I've been obsessed with Minutemen recently. Everything about them i love. Their lyrics are amazing, and Mike Watt is a genius no less.

I love What Makes a Man Start Fires as well. The Anchor, Bob Dylan Wrote Propaganda Songs, Sell or Be Sold - theres so many great songs on that as well. Paranoid Time is a little on the short side (although its an EP i guess), but it's sweet as well and much more punk centred than the other two ive heard.

Im sorry i keep posting in this thread but no band has ever struck me so much as quickly as minutemen have.

mike watt deserves much appreciation.

I've listened to some of Double Nickels On the Dime, it's a damn good album. Can't finish it though; 43 tracks is too damn many to burn through in one night for me.

Who here likes em? Dislike? Has the HIV?

Doube Nickels is a good album but i can't say it's a classic, i can't help but think all the tracks are just a massive gimmick. There's obviously a lot of ideas there but they wasted it when you can't get comfortable since each song's a minute long. Overrated.

The songs may be extra short, but they're still good songs. I didn't have a problem listening to them comfortably. And some of the songs even crossed into the two minute mark. I'd say it's some damn good ****.
