Bought the Sub-Pop anthology after reading about them in MRR.
Have to say I never got it even though I tried, they seemed to have the faint whiff of pub-rock about them, a bit Eddie & The Hot-Rods if you know what I mean? Didnt feel like real punk.

It's not like they're supposed to be punk, they're one of those great accidental punk bands.

Just getting into these cats (listening to the debut EP, Burn My Eye), and I'm lovin' them. They've got the energy of punk, but with a melodicism that's more infectious than Herpes at Woodstock.

Awesome group! I'm biased I guess since I love all the The Stooges albums. Got to love Sire Records too, between this, Richard Hell & Ramones, there must have been some real cool people running the label.
