Haha.... Travis announced himself that they were only taking abreak from each other and that they were gonna do there own things right now, and they are gonan tour again this summer, as Blink-182

PopIsDead 03-22-2005 07:46 PM

If Blink 182 really is breaking up, then I'm gonna have a party or something. I never liked them. The singer's voice is far too whiny.

goddamnit just give it up already. We all f*cking know that all of you are the same person, and all of these schitzo, multiple personality posts are completely pointless. Maybe a few weeks away from this site will make you realize it.

ArtistInTheAmbulance 03-24-2005 01:22 AM

Aww man can we bring him back later? He was kinda fun really, he gave me something to laugh at a lot...

jibber 03-24-2005 01:25 AM

sleepy jack 03-26-2005 07:36 PM

Ensemble 03-26-2005 09:15 PM

I hope they're splitting up! :b

Trauma 03-26-2005 09:34 PM

No no, this thread should be in the other forum because they don't even play real music..hehe no I'm not that mean I like a couple of their catchy songs..it's those damn riffs...and I would never be evil enough to totally down on someone else's music like that...it's just not my taste.

if you dont care what people think then why are you asking if its wrong and i dont know if you dont care so dont ask questions that cant be answered by other people!!!!! :usehead:

DreamTheaterGodly 04-29-2005 08:52 AM

Yeah, having a discussion with yourself on a public forum should be against the rules... Like you should have to check the "I Agree" box or something... SERIOUSLY!

Yeah and Travis Barker wasn't even their original drummer, their original drummer was Scott Raynor, who sensibly quit to go to university.

ArtistInTheAmbulance 04-29-2005 02:12 PM

They all sucked badly back then... Back when they had Scott and they didnt have the money to make their voices sound good in the studio...

I ugh actually don't think it was very sensible.
Blink's so popular they almost have a cult and they're millionaires probably.

Yeah I ****ing heard there's a new t.v. show called The Barkers with Travis and his family..pretty ****ed up.

ish 05-28-2005 10:49 AM

Man it's gunna be the ****ing Osbourne's all over again, less swearing and more tattoo's F***ING JOY!!

dog 05-29-2005 04:01 AM

geez theres 12 pages on this.

Static-Fear-Shot 05-29-2005 11:30 PM

yeah .. l heard the whole breaking up thing and well thought it a tad over rated .. and well would not believe unless there was some pretty hefty evidence in reference to their dissolution .... BLINK 182 .. are living legends ... ! l know that must sound 'emo' and well the genre pick doesnt quite fit with the other stuff l listen to..... but Blink exemplify maturity and OHHHHHHHHH how they have evolved over time ... considering l prefer the latter blink instead of the former.

ish 05-29-2005 11:35 PM

How can they exemplify maturity? They were one of the most immature bands around and they never learnt their lesson. It was a totally emo band and nothing they ever sang about was anything but emo. Hell yes the whole band was completely over-rated from beginning to end and I'm just glad that stage of their sad little lives is over so we can stop having to hear that crap!

Static-Fear-Shot 05-29-2005 11:46 PM

I really think you shoudl consider pulling your finger out of your ass and consider just what on earth you are saying. Unless you can look me in the eye and say " blink are still the little immature emo ***woods they were 10 years ago and have thus far not transformed into quite capable musicians", don't mouth off about something you couldnt possibly understand ... your comment prior to this post identifies just how ignorant you are of anything having to do with blink 182 ... >:[
And so l stick with the verdict that BLINK 182 ARE FU/<IN GUN AND KNOW EXACTLY WHAT THEIR DOING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and will always convey their integrity and sanity where ever they roam.
but your opinon being your very own, and no others is what makes you human so .... Whatever you rekon! :)

ish 05-29-2005 11:51 PM

And that's why I don't listen to blink, because of the s*** they produce! I consider everything I say before I say it (Which is why I don't talk alot) What was the last most mature thing blink 182 did? Maybe you should think about it. You're completely contradicting yourself with your styles of music SFS, look at the bands you love and look at the bands you want to murder (Simple Plan and Good Charlotte) I know you hate those 2 bands, you don't think Blink sing about the same emotional sort of crap?? I think they do!

Static-Fear-Shot 05-30-2005 12:01 AM

I understand that everyone is different, and that your like a major GoodCharlotte fanatic, but l just find l can relate better with blink and the issues dealt with in their music. What l am trying to embed into that thick skull of yours is that Old school blink is so much more emo and stereotypical punk, then what blink of the contemporary 'NOW' is.... what l'm saying is that blink HAVE indeed come along way .. and they are just going to keep on chugging along till finally they get de-railed and well, low and behold cark it!
The thing that peeves me off with good charlotte and simple plan is that they are ordinary, plain jane bands that have really no idea about the outside world and choose to create music which may sound good to the target market of choice, being childish little blowbags who should get in a corner and stay there!
SP and GC havent been around as long as blink 182, and thus cannot be compared to blink when taking into consideration the journey, which has ultimately made the members of blink better people ... GC and SP are whatr l would call NOOBS when looking at the puink genre ... they havent undergone any transformations, they are still stuck at square one .. where's the juxtapositon in that may l ask with an evidently greater band 'BLINK 182' ...
When they have utilised their legs and get somewhere .. then l may just be arsed to consider them as potential once in a life time listen to band .. when l'm really desperate and habve no other music to actually hear ...

el_bandido 05-30-2005 07:45 PM

what happened to blink 182?

I was listening to one of their cds (dude ranch) which was like all punk, and then I listened to their next cd which is Enema of the state and it was so more poppy. what happened?

Trauma 05-30-2005 07:52 PM

Jerry Finn.

The Producer of Blink 182, Sum 41, and Green Day who works for Geffen.

el_bandido 05-30-2005 07:57 PM

did he start producing for them after they did Dude Ranch? I don't think they were on Geffen on Dude Ranch.

That is irrelevant.
Whatever happened to change them happened sooner or later because of Finn, the prick.

el_bandido 05-30-2005 08:12 PM

wow that really sucks, their older stuff is so much better
