Not my favourite, but they're 10 bands who I think of when the word "punk" is mentioned. I wouldnt really class Iggy and The Stooges as punk though :S

2. Choking Victim - such an underrated band.
3. Dayglo Abortions - canadian punk at its finest.
4. Goldfinger - no words to explain my love for them and their music.
5. Leftover Crack - just like choking victim, leftover crack is a great example of a DIY punk band
6. SNFU - canadian punk pioneers
7. MDC - never heard one band song from this band
8. GG Allin - god.
9. The Lillingtons - Kody of Teenage Bottlerocket earlier band.
10, Teenange Bottlerocket - Pop Punk from Laramie, Wyoming.

Choking Victim is great but I wouldn't really call them underrated. They get a lot of props (that they definitely deserve, of course.)
