I don't really consider The Pogues punk. Shane McGowan is pretty punk sure but the instruments are to folky for it to really be punk for me.

But all those bands are great

What's the right stuff? They had 1 quality song, 2000 lightyears away. What am I missing?

It's a toss up between Dead Kennedys and Dillinger Four. Both are amazing bands.
