I agree with that Sid could not play bass, he could not sing, he murdered his girlfriend, he was so ****ed up most of the time. For some reason, legions of fans of the Sex Pistols have glorified and deified this man into some Godfather of the Punk Movement while greats like Iggy Pop, Joe Strummer (who had more talent in his left ass cheek than Sid had in his entire body), and Joey Ramone, though get their dues, are no where near the legend that Sid is.

The only think he contributed to music was attitude

Sid Vicious played an instrument.

Sure he only knew how to play about 2 notes but that's all he needed to do , it's not like he was trying to get into King Crimson or anything like that.

I'm not really following, Sid's bass was unplugged during their live sets and Steve Jones did the bass in studio. =x Granted their music isn't very bass heavy to begin with like some of the Ramones stuff...

I think the unplugged thing has been exaggerated . I have a few Pistols bootlegs & the bass is clearly audible in most of them.
