I'm from U.K and agree with MUSHIE in parts-EMO has never really took off here, and our perception of EMO seems wholly different to what's actually going on in the scene in America at the moment.

I do disagree with the main threads title though-EMO IS THE BEST PUNK MUSIC-there may well be some great tracks out there, but to proclaim it as the best punk music is denying so much other classic stuff both American and British.

ehhh yes and no. Some of the crap that is considered classics are trash. Real punk isn't well liked by most people.

I beg to differ. I've been reading a lot lately of people who were in there teens in the late 90s and were pretty active in the scene and how they go on and on about how they think that Saetia, Neil Perry and Orchid just sounded like plain hardcore bands to them and I went back to listen through albums and compare to stuff like La Quiete and I've gotta say I kinda agree.

Naw definetly not. Still a few good bands around. That scene is pretty much toast though.
