you should have gone definitely, but you haven't, I can tell because you would have posted something on here like

ROAAR%§FTKKRRABBAZZZ they were AWE-SOME!!

I've seen them by accident on a festival but I could have never gone away once their music started. They have crazy energy. It's music you can't help but move to while having a smile on your face. I'll see them this summer

my fav track is "oh no"

Yeah, didn't go...can't remember why, but it's kind of a drag for me to go to gigs since they're a few hundred kilometers away in Zagreb so I usually only go to see bands I love...>.>

You gotta love Gogol's Bordello. They have the message, the music and they're funny as hell.

So, people more knowledgable than me... know any other good gypsy-punk bands?
DeVotchKa are a gangly crew of classically-trained musicians with heritage from all over the world—they perform a lot of Bohemian gypsy music as well as songs from many more exotic locales. Onstage they possess a unique aura, if only because of the sheer amount of instruments they play (everything from an upright bass to a tuba adorned with Christmas lights are crammed onstage during a DeVotchKa show), and the skill with which they play them. It’s like a chill, understated version of Gogol Bordello with more European flair and less of a death wish.

I've seen DeVotchKa at University of Missouri and they're a fantastic live band. DeVotchKa is based in Denver and Gogol Bordello is based in NYC.

Here's a link to their website. 'A Mad and Faithful Telling' on sale now! | DeVotchKa

Gogol Bordello's Eugene Hutz rocks the Beeb 6 on GB's first European tour. He's a first rate classical guitarist and I've seen him do Segovia pieces in GB's live shows.
