sounds weird, but the title of the thread describes the music perfectly , it's gypsy punk......i know, what the fuck? but it sounds pretty good....haha...check it out, the album is on nme.com....( i know i'm gonna get flamed for this, but it's exactly how i expect punk to sound, even the vocals )

yeah their stuff is crazy but its really good...who would think that a band could mix gypsy music and punk music and still sound good?

Good band. I just ordered Voi-La Intruder because theyve been in my head non stop for days, Im hoping the rest of the album is actually worth it now.

their the one band i can say my girlfreind got me into. and shes got a crap taste.

I really like their music. I got two of their records and they're coming to Finalnd this summer, can't wait to see them live. One of my friends has seen them live and says that their show is awesome.

On of the best shows i've ever been to. I like them on record, but live they are in a league of their own. So so so much fun.

yea they crowd surf on thier drums and all. so much fun

Gypsy Punks was better than their East Infection E.P, but they do get on my nerves after a while.

Start Wearing Purple is the only thing I've heard, but its the ****. And I think they composed some of the soundtrack for Everything is Illuminated because whats-his-face had a big supporting part.

Such a refreshing band.

Love watching the little old boys in the band bouncing about, makes there peformance I think.

The thing with Gypsy-Punk is it always seams to be different, the songs seam to be packed with nonstop thrill.

And it isn't the insipid barking that you get in a lot of "real" punk bands. I get the feeling gogol bordello never asked to be called anything more than "gogol bordello." They hit a note in "start wearing purple" that might be the greatest 5 seconds of music that came out in the past couple years. If this is the future of punk, i might visit this forum a little more...now all we have to do it get rid of the punk fans.

Good band, good tunes, not a whole lot else to say...

Going to see them live in Glasgow Thursday 13th, not listened to any of their albums, just heard start wearing purple on youtube, and the buzz from the summer festivals. There is 6 of us going, only 1 has an album, it's gonna be a blast.

In fact next week in General is gonna be mental

8th: Marilyn Manson, at least 10 of us attending
11th: Rodrigo y Gabriella, at least 6 of us attending
13th: Gogol Bordello, 6 of us attending

i saw them open for primus, and it was absolute bedlam. i pretty much thought i was gonna die in that pit, haha. they're an alrite band
