And I can't stand how nearly all of thier singers have irritating nasaly voices, as if they haven't even gone through puberty yet. Though having a deep voice might impeed on thier market appeal to thier primary fan base, 13 year old girls.

or you could look at pop punk as being Mothermania, Say Anything, The D*ckies, The Ramones, or bleh I forgot my other example.

And I'm pretty sure The D*ckies didn't sing about cool kids or girlfriends. They liked Apes and killer clowns.
