Does the US version have an extra track (I fought the law, maybe)?

I don't have The Clash because I can't find an original era pressing of it, only 180g reissues and if I'm going to be paying $25, I'd rather have it be the same version my mother had when she was in college.

Still kicking my own arse for buying London Calling reissue when I probably could have found an original

It was basically a compilation album based on the UK debut.

Side one
1. "Clash City Rockers"
2. "I'm So Bored with the USA"
3. "Remote Control"
4. "Complete Control"
5. "White Riot" (single version)
6. "(White Man) In Hammersmith Palais"
7. "London's Burning"
8. "I Fought the Law"

Side two
1. "Janie Jones"
2. "Career Opportunities"
3. "What's My Name"
4. "Hate & War"
5. "Police & Thieves"
6. "Jail Guitar Doors"
7. "Garageland"

Nah the Clash debut was one of a long line of English vs. American releases that were almost completely different.

I'll have to look for both versions then.

I'm a collector to a fault. I get my hands on great records for a good price and then never want to resell them, so I don't make any money.

I could probably resell my copy of Give em Enough Rope for $40, but I'm too much of a b!tch to part with it because it makes me feel like more of an accomplished dork than having money does.

Pretty fatal flaw

I will also say the first (UK version) because it's my all time favourite album behind"Horses", but London Calling is probably the sprawling masterpiece. I would argue that only the first one is a punk album anyway although that's another matter.
