I think they're okay .. sort of scares me how they're all over on MTV now, though.

Another AFI thread..... Decemberunderground
Yeah, since Decemberunderground definitely isn't punk, I'll post it here. This is just to talk about the new album.
yeah, i just picked it up today.......... what the hell??? they're picking up on unoriginal sound! I refuse to believe this is the road AFI is going to take! This is too much like those other crappy bands! STS was NOTHING like those bands, yet still categorized under them! It was original, and really good, as were all the other albums before it. But what the hell is this?! Ok, eventually, I'll force myself to have it grow on me and I'll like it soon. But if their next album continues to be unoriginal, I will no longer be an AFI fan. This just pisses me off to an extent. Davey screwed up. But then again, so far I've only heard 5 songs. First 3 are great songs, to be honest, but the next two disgust me. |
just finished the whole album.......
i feel like crying. this isn't AFI, it's Taking Back Sunday with a better voice. I'm sticking with past AFI. |
NO! this can't happen! I won't believe it!
So I'm gonna listen to the songs a bit out of order. I guess I wasn't paying much attention to the song Affliction, it's good. |
I love the new album, and I don't see how you could consider this unoriginal but sing the sorrow original.
|
Well how many other bands wrote an album like STS? I haven't heard any band who wrote albums like that.
But December is something I can find in my friend Joniel's itunes, which is filled with bad emo. One specifically is Taking Back Sunday, and that's what this album reminds me of. |
I don't like The Art of Drowning, Sing the Sorrow or, Decemberunderground because the instrumental is definitely less important. But, out of those 3 albums this one has the best vocals.
