AFI live now, completely sucks. I was sitting there watching a live video of AFI singing Miss Murder. Why can't all the fangirls just shut the fuck up and let Davey sing? All I heard were a bunch of girls flooding Davey out. The entire time! Shut up and let Davey sing!!!!

I have heard of them for a while, but never really listened to them. The other day I came home and they were on VH1 and they aren't that bad. My friend said that their older stuff is better. Does anyone suggest any good albums they have??

I missed them here. But a friend of mine went, and he came back black and blue, so that must've been great.

I have all their cd except the new one.

I just downloaded December Underground. Now I can actually say I like a new afi album. My problem The Art of Drowning and Sing the Sorrow is those are vocal based albums and I don't really like the vocals. I like the vocals on this album. Definitely something different.

It seems to me, that older AFI was The Misfits (with Danzig). I think they are better then Misfits.

I like their older stuff, you couldnt understand the lyrics very well though, their new album isnt bad either.

The new album is okay, more mainstreamish though if you get what i'm saying, the sound is more mainstreamish. I like their older stuff, i'm talking about the stuff they played when they first starting being a band.

I think they're a really cool band and I think they should keep doing what they're doing.

Davey is way creepy now. I've lost all sexual interest in him. But I love everything they've done and they're wayy good. The prelude thing is my favorite song off the new album, even if its not really a song...the rest is good too.

I'm usually not big on bands like A.F.I... But Sing The Sorrow kicks major booty.

My favourite songs are Days of the Pheonix, This Celluloid Dream, Prelude 12/21 and Malleus Mallificarum

After the A Fire Inside E.P. they've managed to suck harder and harder.

Davey reminds me of some strange artistic asian woman, except he's not asian and I'm not sure about the 'woman' part. He's an amazing singer though. I love AFI and I think it's cool how they're expanding their musical horizons although to be honest, the new album didn't have that passion their other albums had. I like the new album but at times it seems like they didn't really put their heart as much into the music as they used to.

Yeah, since Decemberunderground definitely isn't punk, I'll post it here. This is just to talk about the new album.

yeah, i just picked it up today.......... what the hell??? they're picking up on unoriginal sound! I refuse to believe this is the road AFI is going to take! This is too much like those other crappy bands! STS was NOTHING like those bands, yet still categorized under them! It was original, and really good, as were all the other albums before it. But what the hell is this?!

Ok, eventually, I'll force myself to have it grow on me and I'll like it soon. But if their next album continues to be unoriginal, I will no longer be an AFI fan. This just pisses me off to an extent. Davey screwed up.

But then again, so far I've only heard 5 songs. First 3 are great songs, to be honest, but the next two disgust me.

i feel like crying. this isn't AFI, it's Taking Back Sunday with a better voice. I'm sticking with past AFI.

So I'm gonna listen to the songs a bit out of order. I guess I wasn't paying much attention to the song Affliction, it's good.

I love the new album, and I don't see how you could consider this unoriginal but sing the sorrow original.

Well how many other bands wrote an album like STS? I haven't heard any band who wrote albums like that.

But December is something I can find in my friend Joniel's itunes, which is filled with bad emo. One specifically is Taking Back Sunday, and that's what this album reminds me of.

I don't like The Art of Drowning, Sing the Sorrow or, Decemberunderground because the instrumental is definitely less important. But, out of those 3 albums this one has the best vocals.
